Our Mission

Going to church has become kind of a mental burden for many. They see some value, but creating space in their complicated, busy lives is a challenge.

Well, we believe we are at a time where what's most needed in our lives is a true community where we can find some peace, acceptance, and authentic love. We help each other. We listen to each other. We eat together (a lot!). We feel it's important to prioritize being together and supporting each other. If you live in the Omaha/Council Bluffs metro and it's been a while since you've attended church WE INVITE YOU to come give Community of Christ Central try. We are a vibrant and inclusive church community dedicated to spreading the love and teachings of Jesus Christ, building a personal relationship with God, and learning to tune into the presence of the Holy Spirit.

OUR MISSION: Proclaim Jesus Christ and promote communities of joy, hope, love and peace.

WE GATHER TOGETHER

SUNDAY Worship & Sunday School

We gather to fellowship, learn, and worship each Sunday morning at 9:30 (Sunday School) and 10:30 (Sunday Worship).

People come from across the Omaha/Council Bluffs metro to pray together, sing, study, laugh, decompress, build friendships, care for each other, and together develop a personal relationship with God.

MIDWEEK GET-TOGETHER/PRAYER

Every Wednesday at 6:30 PM we have a get-together in our small chapel. This is a gathering that might be a unique from week-to-week. We usually pray for one another as we lift up the needs of people in our community.

Sunday School Classes geared toward your son our daughter's age at 9:30am.

We want families to be able to come share in our fellowship. All ages are welcome in our Sunday School Classes. The young people spend the hour learning Bible stories, praying together, and learning how to grow their relationship with God and experiencing Holy Spirit as they share with each other.

Our Community

Community of Christ Central proclaims Jesus Christ and promotes communities of joy, hope, love, and peace. We warmly embrace one another even if we have never met. We lead our congregation in worship, deepening the connection to God, understanding the teachings of Christ, and ultimately to a vibrant faith.
It would be wonderful to have you become part of our congregation as we grow in love and care for each other.  Contact us today to find out more about becoming part of the Community of Christ Central community.

“True Community! Church is much more than a building, or listening to a sermon. Church is the body of Christ. It's the people in our congregation who come to love each other and learn the ways of Jesus Christ. We strive to Love God with all our hearts, souls, and minds. And Love others like we Love ourselves, and our family and friends."   -Pastor Rob Heverling
